Symbolic of an unrivaled championship tradition, the New York Yankee pinstripes have long been worn with pride by some of the game's most revered heroes. Presented is one such garment: a Yankees home jersey worn by Hall of Fame-bound shortstop Derek Jeter during the 2003 season. Posting a robust .324 batting average en route to an eighth October appearance in as many seasons, “Mr. November” wore this Russell white knit button-down home jersey with a blue pinstripe pattern, “NY” sewn to the left breast in blue tackle twill and a “2” sewn to the back in like fashion. An MLB silhouette logo is sewn to the base of the neck, a stunning “Yankees 100th Anniversary” patch adorns the left sleeve and the left front tail is home to a label and flag tags that respectively denote “48”, “2” Extra Length” and “2003”. Light to moderate wear is evident including slight fraying on logo and numbers as well as two small stains on the back. An absolute must-have for Yankee game-used collectors. LOAs from Dave Miedema and Sports Investors.
