When these (14) 1887 N690 Kalamazoo Bats cards were discovered in a scrapbook decades ago, the bottom advertising panel of each card was neatly trimmed away. The cards were "skinned" thin with the photographic card surfaces having been removed from their original cardboard backings. The rarity of this set and the tremendous high quality of the images make these cards desirable in any condition. Originally offered in a 1998 Ron Oser Enterprise auction, the purchaser of these cards accomplished a miracle of restoration, and in the process performed a great service to both himself and fellow Kalamazoo Bats collectors. Restored to what can only be described as their former glory, the missing bottom portion of each card has been seamlessly recreated. The cards are also neatly mounted on period style stock similar to that which was originally used on N690 Kalamazoo Bats cards. The following Philadelphia players are present: Andrews, Buffington, Devlin, Farrar, Ferguson, Fogarty, Gibson, Irwin, Lyons, Lyons/Trainer, Maul, McGuire, Mulvey and Wood. Represents almost 25% of the entire Kalamazoo Bat set!
